Are you a teacher and need to tick a few boxes on your AusVELS standards and progression points? We cover science understanding, science as human endeavour, science inquiry skills as well as having fun. The identification of aquatic macroinvertebrates (bugs) is an experiment that the children of all ages can do. The identification of certain bugs will give the children a good indication of the health of the waterway the bugs were collected from. Scientists use these types of inquiry worldwide to ascertain water quality health.
